Supper Club 001 was hosted by P’s and Q’s in collaboration with Modest, La Divisa Meats (my employer), Downtown Cheese and myself. For this event I made a body of work that included installation, sculpture, painting, and screen prints. For my 2D work I was thinking about fermentation and curing of meats and experimenting with mold and texture on fabric. My 3D works mimicked butcher shop windows. On one side of the storefront I arranged plush meats and sausage I had made out of hand dyed silk. The other side had “curing" paper mache charcuterie covered in wax hanging from the ceiling.
